He shares his relationship with the celebrities and many space heroes who made Manteo's history so unique. This tour has been featured on PBS show "NC Weekend". The original Manteo Walking Tour is back! Join Manteo's retired Police Chief for an evening sroll through the Historic Waterfront of Old Manteo. He shares his relationship with several celebrities and many space heroes who have made Manteo such a unique and special place to visit. Three generations completed this tour [ages 72, 46 and 10]. We all loved it! Chief is very engaging and passionate and he shares his excitement throughout the tour. We highly recommend this tour for all ages!

Absolutely worth the time and money! Such a wonderful history lesson with passion and love for his town, Chief have an amazing tour. Was waiting and ready for us. This tour is great for any age, as he adapts to those on tour at the time. Places to rest along the way if needed and plenty of photo ops. Can't believe how much we learned!

Chief D'Ambra was so passionate and knowledgeable about his town and the people that lived in and around it! The history we learned in that one evening was amazing and we even headed home to look for documentaries on TV to continue learning. As he told us, when you scratch the surface of history, you find more history! The walk was easy, plenty of places to stop along the way to rest if needed, and the candlelight part made out even more special. Great for all ages. We absolutely loved our "history lesson" on this trip.
