This tour is an educational experience. It brings you back to the day of historic Manteo when people had to come by boats, with no bridges, no roads, to a small quaint town called Manteo that just so happens to be just south of where the first English child was born your tour guide will bring you through the history piece by piece but not just a history since your tour guide used to be a chief of police he has first-hand knowledge, stories and experiences with some of our notable always memorable residents of Manteo. If you’re looking for a tour with actual facts and real stories that your friends and family will remember for decades about the story that they have had the privilege of being in the sacred place they call the Town Of Manteo.

Thank you so much! It is so fun to have folks like you who share my passion for the history of the Outer Banks on the tour. I am always awed by the history and resiliency of the local people who have made Manteo their home. You are correct. This place is truly a unique and sacred place! I am privileged to be just a small part of guiding visitors and locals alike through this great place.

Chief was a great tour guide. He was easy to hear, well spoken, and had just the right amount of humor. The tour had some real interesting tid bits about nature and science that I didn’t expect (or know). Very interesting. I recommend this tour for sure and I live here! Good on ya chief!

Funny and insightful; if you ever wondered the background on this great little town, here's your chance to know all the happenings from its inception. Guides are very personable and you most likely will be able to join them for a drink afterwards. Don't miss this opportunity while on vacation!
