My favorite part was Chief D'Ambra's passion for his hometown. You can easily deduce how proud he is of Manteo and its rich heritage. Although I have lived in Manteo for 32 years, I learned some things I never knew and it was definitely the highlight of my week. This is definitely a tour we will gift family and friends who come visit.

Chiefs poetic expression and enthusiasm of the history of Roanoke island kept myself and I believe the other guest highly engaged. The way he pieced the events of our heritage together like a puzzle was pretty amazing. I left the tour feeling very proud to call Manteo my home. I highly recommend this tour wether you are a history enthusiast, here on vacation or simply just looking for something to do. Chief will paint a picture as you stroll through downtown Manteo making you feel apart of this little towns past, present and future! Oh, and buy a jar of the mother vine preserves at the end of the tour… It is delicious! - JT

Never a dull moment. Chief was passionate and historically accurate. We wished the tour could have lasted longer. The 2hrs flew by so fast. You will leave this tour with a head filled with interesting facts and a new perceptive on the wonderful town of Manteo.
