A colleague and I traveled to Milwaukee from North Carolina a few days ago on business. Prior to traveling, I researched the tour companies in Milwaukee and gave Untapped Tours a call. It turned out that they were not offering tours on the day we were free. However, after telling the tour guide that I was disappointed because I really wanted to see Milwaukee, he said he would organized a tour just for me and my colleague! As for the tour itself, it was excellent! Mike, the tour guide, was wonderful - very knowledgable about the city and its landmarks, very friendly, and encouraging us to get off the bus to enjoy the sites. That is, this is not a tour where they just drive you past the sites. We walked through the downtown area, we went inside the beautiful new museum, we took a brewery tour, we walked through a beautiful park in the gorgeous Northpoint area (the historic homes in that neighborhood are amazing) that Olmstead designed, we went to a shop where they make fresh cheese curds (they were very good!) and other interesting goodies, we saw the Third Ward.... There is no way we could have experienced all of this had we tried to do it ourselves. A truly great tour and wonderful tour guide! Highly recommend.

Mike did an outstanding job on this bus tour. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the City of Milwaukee and knows the history of old buildings. The cheese and ice cream tasting and the brewery tour was wonderful. Good job Mike!!

We came into Milwaukee on a rainy, gloomy evening and were prepared to write it off as a deserted midwestern city. Had we not taken the tour the next day we might have left feeling similarly. However, after taking the tour we are ready to revisit Milwaukee! You get a taste of everything from litetally tasting cheese, ice cream, and beer to seeing the different kinds of neighborhoods, architecture in homes, such as 18th century homes and landmarks, as well as various parks, museums, and historic points. It's the perfect thing to do when you first arrive so you can figure out which sights you want to revisit. Our tour guide was funny, friendly, and very knowledgable. We look forward to our next opportunity to explore Milwaukee!
