What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

We took the Mystery Valley tour in February, 2020. We had a wonderful time. The weather was lovely which added to the experience. The sights were beautiful and interesting but the guides really made the experience. They shared geological and cultural information and it was fascinating. Highly recommend this tour.

Navajo Spirit Tours is a fantastic choice for touring Monument Valley Tribal Park or Mystery Valley Tour, or any other tour for that matter. The guides are local Native Americans and have an excellent and personal knowledge of the geography of the area, the history of the area and the Dine people. Their knowledge of photography helps you take excellent photographs, and some of their guides even play the Native American flue for you. They made everything come alive and were so patient with all our questions.

You can drive yourself around the 17 mile loop through Monument Canyon if you have an SUV. BUT you will miss SO much! By taking this tour, you will get to see much more. There are beautiful arches, petrographs, and fantastic areas that only a Navajo guide can take you to. Our guide (Larry) also sang for us, and helped up make superb artistic photos by holding our cameras near water puddles to reflect the monuments in the water. Love you Larry! Take the tour. You won't regret it.
