What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

We did a Sunset tour with Navajo Spirit Tours and it was wonderful. We left at 4:30 in open air vehicles (think safari) and toured for about 3 hours. We got geology lessons as well as Navajo history, myths and legends. The ride is bumpy, a bit dusty but FUN! It is bumpy because none of the roads are paved, and you have the opportunity to really go off road. The only other way to see Monument Valley is a “self drive”, but you cannot go on some of the roads that the tour will take you, and you will certainly not get the stories, or if you are luck the chanting or flute playing. It is not cheap, but it is a great and memorable way to see the Valley. And to see all this as the sun is setting is quite a memory maker. I would definitely recommend it.

We took MV daytime tour and it was one of the best experiences we had on our 2 week road trip across 4 states. (The) Don, our tour guide, was very engaging, a great storyteller, and his passion and respect for Navajo land and people was clearly to see throughout the day. We learned a lot about Navajo customs, way of living and travelling and sign language. There were also plenty of photo opportunities too (which Don showed us!). Highly recommend!

Today was one of those experiences that you won’t forget for a very long time! Our trip through Monument Valley with our guide Larry was more than we ever expected! Larry was so good showing us the things that we had hoped to see and many more that we never knew existed! Our group of four highly recommend Navajo Spirit Tours.
