What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

All hot air balloon tours check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Enjoy stunning views of iconic Camelback Mountain in the heart of the Phoenix Valley. You pilot will share the history of this fascinating city and will point out local wildlife and plant life.

Downtown Phoenix

You will be able to see Downtown Phoenix in the distance as you soar over the valley. As you begin to land, you'll see a table complete with linens and china in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You are greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

A group of us went with Tommy and Jim on a wonderful sunrise balloon ride in Carefree. Beautiful scenery, totally pleasant flight, spot on landing, and a great breakfast complete with Mimosas at the end. Fantastic experience. Admit was a little apprehensive at first, but I would do this again and again. Tommy our pilot and Jim our driver were great to be with and obviously had our safety and fun in mind.

Only one of us had previous experience. Our pilot Tommy and his chase crew driver Jim were awesome. Jim gave us some history as drove to and from the launch and landing sites. The balloon ride was so quiet and calming with amazing views. Leave your jacket in the van. The hot air kept us warm. The breakfast was great including mimosas

We called the day before and we're happy to get a reservation for the 6:45am trip. We arrived at Deer Valley airport and our driver Todd was great! It was a short van ride out to the balloons. We were able to watch the balloons inflate and take pictures. Our captain, Walter, was fabulous,funny and very informative! It was a gorgeous,clear day! The views were spectacular. We enjoyed the champagne breakfast in the desert too! Our kids are 13, 11 and 6 and they loved it too. Definitely recommend!!
