What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

All hot air balloon tours check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Enjoy stunning views of iconic Camelback Mountain in the heart of the Phoenix Valley. You pilot will share the history of this fascinating city and will point out local wildlife and plant life.

Downtown Phoenix

You will be able to see Downtown Phoenix in the distance as you soar over the valley. As you begin to land, you'll see a table complete with linens and china in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You are greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

A tick off the bucket list. What a thrill to be able to experience a hot-air ballon ride above the Sonoran desert! Tommy Brown our pilot, and chasing director Nick made our experience even better with their great sense of humor and skills...An adventure of a lifetime-Just do it, you won't be sorry!

This was the most amazing experience ever! We were picked up at our hotel at 4:45 a.m. Our driver, Todd, was top notch. We had a 20 minute drive to pick up the rest of the group and he answered all of our questions and shared his knowledge of Phoenix. We arrived at the launch site and were up in the air by 5:50 a.m. Our pilot, Tommy, was also top notch and took care of all of our needs and was very good at explaining the flight to us and pointing out items of interest. After landing, we ate a delicious breakfast and headed back to our hotel. Todd and Tommy were attentive to our needs and made the trip very enjoyable. Tommy and Tod...you rock!

This was my first time on a hot air balloon ride. It was smooth and peaceful with beautiful sites. I love the feeling of floating and enjoyed the views over 5k feet in the air. Captain Yee-Haw kept it fun, light and professional. The landing was smooth and we finished with a decent breakfast in the beautiful desert, just after sunrise! This was a very memorable first for my girlfriend and I.
