Class III/IV rapids provide excitement and a trip you will never forget. Amazing scenery, high adventure, no experience required, trips run March through October each year. Day trips meet at 9 AM and include a riverside catered lunch break at the halfway point. Short on time? Try the Afternoon Express run, meeting 3 PM daily.

I'm scared of whitewater rafting and our guide Croc made me feel safe by explaining each rapid before we went through. He was also super funny and entertaining! My teen boys thought the entire adventure was awesome! I highly recommend West Virginia Adventures and ask for Croc!

Our family group of 11, mostly young adults and first time rafters loved their experience on the lower new river. Our personable guides Kirby and Tristan quickly put any nerves at ease with both a professional focus on safety as well as plenty of humor to go around for a fun filled afternoon on the river. We loved to "Hammer down" into the Rapids.We are already discussing a future fall run on the Gauley. Highly recommend this outfitter for their personal service.
