Class III/IV rapids provide excitement and a trip you will never forget. Amazing scenery, high adventure, no experience required, trips run March through October each year. Day trips meet at 9 AM and include a riverside catered lunch break at the halfway point. Short on time? Try the Afternoon Express run, meeting 3 PM daily.

West Virginia Adventures provided our family with an excellent time. Our guide Brody was a calming presence and confidence builder for our family. Brody also was a great storyteller/historian during our trip. Kirby was a top videographer and excellent kayaker. Tim was an excellent bus driver and very friendly. The entire team were professional, fun, kind and helpful. Can't wait to return to raft on the Gauley River with these guys.

We had a great experience all around. Friendly from the initial phone call, and even friendlier on site and during the whole experience. Triston was our guide and all the guys were just great! We did the intermediate Class III & IV run down the gorge with water about 6 feet high making even a bit more exciting. Triston did a great job coaching us through the tougher waters - pushing two couples excitedly and safely through the rapids. Highly recommend this local, family based company that knows the river so well. 5 stars all day long!

We have been on several rafting excursions both in the US and internationally. This was among the best! Our guide, Cassie, has spent 20+ years guiding river rafting trips and her knowledge of the sport clearly reflects it. In addition, she has developed keen knowledge through experience with the New River itself. This allowed her to let us know prior to each rapid where we would need to head for safety if one of us were to end up outside of the boat. This was the first and only time we've had a guide give us such clear and explicit direction prior to each rapid. Thankfully, we never needed it - Cassie's instruction and skill kept us all in the boat, enjoying one of the best rafting adventures yet. Meanwhile, Kirby and Barney kayaked along with us to ensure safety and to capture amazing footage throughout the adventure. We can't recommend this team or this company highly enough! (We also had the added benefit of rafting at the very beginning of the season. With the exception of a couple of other kayakers, we were the only boat and only people on the entire river that afternoon, which made the whole trip extra special.)
