Had a fabulous time during a full-day whitewater rafting trip down the Lower New River in WV. Our rafting guide, Jimmy, was exceptional. He was knowledgeable and informative and fun! A terrific lunch was provided on the riverbanks mid-day, then we were off to raft more whitewater. Be prepared to have fun and get wet!

My husband and I enjoyed a camping/rafting trip this weekend. We found Rob and Francesca to be most hospitable. We camped on their grounds and rafted the New River. The bath house was the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. Eddie was a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, as was John Henry. We will definitely book our next rafting trip with West Virginia Adventures. It's not often you get personal service by the owner when enjoying these trips.

Francesca was very helpful and responsive to our reservation; she answered the phone at 8:00 PM and confirmed the reservation for the raft tour of lower New River. When we arrived 3 days later, the New River had risen to levels above flood stage and the staff freely explained that we could not raft the New River because of safety restrictions. I appreciate their candor and experience, not taking us on an unsafe trip. I told them we realize there is always some risk floating a white water river, but we didn't want to be reckless. We floated the lower Gauley, which was still a wild ride with plenty of action, while avoiding the careless exposure to a flooded river. I appreciated their commitment to providing a great whitewater experience without foolish risk. Our guide (John Henry) was very competent and fun to visit with, as was Rob in the kayak.
