Kelly our tour guide was a sheer delight and the food was out of this world! Don't miss this tour - beignets, frozen Irish coffee, muffuletta, 'po boys, fried chicken, gumbo... bring a big appetite and enjoy the drinks and local company you'll meet!

This is our second and my third Culinary Backstreets tour and as has come to be expected, did not disappoint on any level. Kelly is an absolute joy to experience and learn from, the CB team literally could not have found a better guide. Her knowledge of the city and overall NOLA area, coupled with her own deep roots and fascinating life made our day together very special. There are many "Food Tour" opportunities in NOLA, simply because of the city's culinary focused makeup. But make no mistake, a Culinary Backstreets tour, while focused on food, is far and away much more digging deeply into history, culture, people and overall life in each of the locations where they operate. Our previous tours in Lisbon and Queens told us exactly what to expect and Kelly did not miss a beat in providing a most excellent experience. We look forward to our next CB tour!

Our tour leader, Kelly, was awesome! Lots of great information about New Orleans history and food, of course. Nice to meet and chat with some of the characters who worked at and owned the establishments we visited. My only disappointment was that there were few stops compared to other Culinary Backstreets tours I had taken in Istanbul, Athens, and Lisbon. And we didn’t have an opportunity to try crawfish or oysters, two quintessential NOLA treats.
