Top View sold far more tickets than they could accommodate and also denied boarding where we had made reservations because they abandoned their existing bookings. We found it really hard to get onto the buses as they were full. Many of the sales staff were not interested in helping because they just wanted to make a sale and were often really short. Not all staff were unhelpful and the drivers were generally nice. We managed to use the tour a bit and the experience we had was not bad once we got on. Their after sales services was bad. They were really not interested at all.

Terrible experience. Buyer beware. Too few buses. LONG waits, and then no room on the buses and had to wait even longer. Bus drivers very curt and rude. Only 3 time slots available for Statue of Liberty ferry ride, and seats only offered on the lower level. Buses were filthy. No volume control for audio tour, very little information provided. Bought tickets for 72 hours, but only used them for a few hours on first day. Such a terrible experience we didn't even bother trying to use it any of the other days. Not a useful mode to transport around the city, completely unreliable. Can't think of anything nice to say about it.

We purchased the 72 hour pass after arriving in NYC and an agent approached us on the street. Generally I pay no attention but while I was planning the trip I looked into this and was going to book until I started to read reviews. We were only there for a few days and had plans for 9/11 and Statue of Liberty. I thought we could take the city bus for those trips and walk for the rest. Well, after walking around the first night we decided to buy the pass. The city busses were confusing and didn't seem to be readily available. This system was easy to understand and we never waiting more than a few minutes (except once). On the app you can see real time arrivals for the bus stops and view the different routes. The only thing I can recommend however is buy your passes online!! We paid $20 more purchasing there (and of course that was a discount) I asked for a refund after the fact but no go. Also would have been nice for main routes to run later in the day. Uptown bus ended at 3:30 and downtown I believe was 6:00. Then there is a night tour but it's different stops. They provide headphones if you want to listen to the tour and ponchos when it was raining. We also did the statue cruise which is a bit of a walk from the bus stop but we had the time and it was fun to get on the water. Only takes you near the statue not on the island. Good experience.
