I don't normally post poor reviews, but if this prevents 1 further person from wasting money, then I will be content. We have been to New York 2 times previously and used other companies, so understand what you should get. We went with Topview primarily for the price. Big mistake. From the outset, driver (G**e S**n)was rude, hard on the accelerater, sharp on the brakes - knocking people out of their seats and screaming at other road users. Commentary was woeful, no where near the attractions they were talking about. No interesting facts and music poor. WiFi would not work. A few passengers after a long day walking, were using the bus to return to hotels. Driver repeatedly shouted that we were at the last stop, insinuating that we had to get off. I asked him if he was going round again (given it is hop on hop off) he said no. This caused confusion for several elderly ladies seated close by. Eventually, another member of staff confirmed that we could stay on. We finally got off at the closest stop to our hotel and walked, vowing never to get back on the bus. We paid for 2 x 72 hour tickets and used only 2 hours, because of the awful experience provided. What should have been an enjoyable time, was unfortunately terrible. Will always advise friends to pay more to get a better service. Waste of our money.

I had been in the city for a couple days and passed by all of the bus salespeople on the corners. There seemed to be more Topview folks and I saw plenty of busses so just by first impression this was the company I was considering. When I decided to go I was at Rockefeller Plaza and immediately happened upon a lovely, warm man from Nigeria that I bought my ticket from. He couldn't have been more helpful. I walked the couple blocks to the stop on 6th Ave. and a few minutes later a bus arrived with friendly driver. I went up top to enjoy the narration and fantastic view. It was my lucky day as I sat next to the sweetest man, who after chatting for awhile I discovered actually works for Topview. Alberto was so kind to supplement the information I was getting from the earphones. In lower Manhattan I "hopped off" to explore the area. When I was ready to "hop on" again I pulled out my map to find the nearest stop and 2 women passing by asked if I needed help. Of course I immediately said a firm no. They then told me they work for TopView and could help if I needed something. They pointed me to the closest stop and asked if I needed anything else! I was impressed that they noticed my map and bothered to stop. I then walked the couple blocks to the stop and continued the rest of my circuit. The whole experience was easy, helpful and very reasonably priced. I was only sorry I didn't have time to do other tours but will definitely do those the next time I'm in the city!

We were on our way to battery park to do our statuecruise tour. We were intercepted/ harrassed/ swarmed by a few of TOPVIEW staff and told us that we would've had to queue for 2-3 hours with our ticket, and talked us into buying their USD 35 ticket that included a statue of liberty cruise. The rest was history, i'm exasperated just writing this review. It was clearly a scam on their part, and they're all over NYC just hard selling their hop on hop off tour. I called statuecruises and they were kind enough to rebook me , and told me not to let anyone stop me from taking my tour specially since my ticket was a "reserve type" which has priority in entering. I subsequently emailed TOPVIEW, they're customer service was quick to respond asking for proof of purchase, after i managed to show them the proof, they told me the following "please be advised we do not issue refunds on any used or unused tickets"....I am very pissed, why bother asking for proof of purchase if they're not going to refund you anyway I know see all these negative reviews on tripadvisor and they're customer service replies thats just like lip service AVOID AT ALL COST !!!
