The tour itself, by this I mean the route, was good. It did indeed take in the best sights of Manhattan etc. However, the commentary is all pre-recorded and rather bland which heavily detracts from the experience. In between commentary, the background music is limited to 6 or more songs that are repeated over and over - if I never hear Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett again, it will be too soon! In this age of U Tube and the like, I sure they could do better. Sorry guys the Big Bus is doing it better.

It would have been 4 stars if it was not for the lack of communication to customers. We went for the Bronx Tour on our last day to find they had moved the pick-up point four blocks away without informing anyone along with the bus leaving early too, which we missed...NOT IMPRESSED! The staff couldn't be bothered to help when we asked about it. Apparently we need to be psychic to prepare for their bus schedule changes. Overall it was ok, the included Statue of Liberty Cruise was very good and the "Hop-on Hop-off" system gave us a cheaper way of travelling throughout NY. Matt

Have it three stars because the liberty boat cruise is awesome. Also because the street salesmen are cheaper than buying online. The downtown loop is good except the audio recording. The driver was at least three blocks ahead of the recording. The up town loop is a disaster. Sat at the first stop for 30 minutes. Then no audio at all. Whizzed by strawberry field and the Dakota without even seeing it. Then the driver stopped again for another 20 minutes. Finally got off bus and walked back. I note the other bits has a line guide so probably worth it. Finally when the audio wasn't speaking it blasted crappy misc so I had to take them out which resulted in missing what little audio there was.
