Not only was Top View Hop On Hop Off extremely disorganized at their 42nd St. Dispatch location. But they had those of us waiting for the Uptowm Tour wait extra time while they took away our bus to give to the Downtown tour. There was no commentary until 96th Street, just music. Even when we got to Harlem there was no commentary. I couldn’t believe it. The worst part after all these other issues is that our bus #311 broke down in the middle of 5th Avenue at about 89th Street. Total system shutdown & all the driver did was call dispatch. Didn’t worry that riders were getting off in the middle of the street with oncoming traffic. It was the worst experience. Avoid this company like the plague.

We booked a 5 day pass. It was disorganized. The audio didn’t work. One bus broke down & we waited for 1 1/2 hours to get more buses to get everyone. The audio was usually 10 minutes behind the sight. The bus went so fast it was hard to impossible to get pictures. The staff was rude. On day 3 We ended up using MTA card - decided where we wanted to go and used subway and buses. Less crowded and at our pace. We got to see more and it was a more pleasant experience.

The All City Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour was awesome and convenient. They had 14 different destination where the bus will drop off and pick up at and one was very close to our hotel. Gave us a great experience of NYC without having to drive at all (and believe me you don’t want to drive in NYC and Uber’s are pretty expensive if you keep taking them). They also provide you with free ponchos and headphones to plug in into the bus to give you information about the city and when the bus is stopping to drop off. I liked the bus service, relatively clean, and friendly. The Statue of Liberty cruise was one of the best parts of my whole experience. Tony was our guide and not only was he very knowledgeable on the area but he also had a good sense of humor. He was very friendly as was the entire crew. Tony also had the accent I was looking for a New York/New Jersey accent that is awesome to hear especially when the jokes are funny. Good people, great cruise tour, and if I ever go back to NYC again I will be purchasing another TopView membership for the week.
