Bought a multi day hop on hop off pass hoping to save some cab fare on days where we walked around Manhattan and Central Park. Buses were often over sold especially if you tried to get on near the Empire State building. Hours of operation were limited, often starting too late in the morning to get us where we needed or ending by 5pm. On one very rainy day we sat inside the bus and found that the whole thing leaked like a sieve. Even the driver was wearing a plastic bag tied around his knee to keep his pants dry. Cheaper than other options but you get what you pay for.

Wonderful way to get around! Wait times were short and don't forget to get the free earsets when you get on to listen to guided tour! Ride on top with open view! We had a 3 day pass with the Statue of Liberty cruise.

What a complete waste of money. So much traffic we barely moved. The stops eg Statue of Liberty Ferry was nowhere near the ferry neither was the WTC stop, all involved walking which we should have done in the first place. Probably better to offer walking tours.
