I had a terrible experience with Topview. We needed to use printed tickets, but the QR codes got smeared. We waited through 4 buses for one to have space on it, and when the codes wouldn't scan, the driver refused us entry despite proof that we had valid, paid tickets. We also waited an excessive time for a bus the day prior. Our cruise boat clearly had about 50% more than was legally permitted. We spent $500 for our family to have this service, and I feel it was nearly a complete waste of money. I am very disappointed.

My review is mainly regarding the so called cruise. What a joke! Being a professional sailor myself, I have never seen such a miserable excuse for a cruise. First of all, passengers are NOT allowed on shore at Liberty Island. This information is conveniently hidden from customers until they embark the boat. About the boat. It’s the most unstable boat I’ve been on. Several passengers got seasick. The boat was rolling like crazy, even if the waters were calm. None of the crew members were to be seen helping distressed passengers or cleaning up the mess that followed. At the time for disembarking, the crew was very attentive, having the tip-box in mind. Did they get a single cent from me? Over my dead body! The buses aren’t really anything special. The night trips are hopelessly crowded in high season at least. The queue went around the block. We simply gave up. I wonder if other companies offer better quality tours.

What a terrible company, and a terrible waste of money!!! DO NOT book with this company!!! Lines were long, waited for an hour or more to get on a bus, no A/C, terrible communication and we didn't get to use some of what we paid for but by no fault of our own. We booked a month in advance of going to NYC. Got the 48 hour passes with access to all of the tours, including the bike rentals in Central park and the Liberty cruise. The lines to get on the buses were so long that we spent more time standing in line than we did on the bus. We ended up having to take the subway to get to certain areas so we didn't waste our vacation standing in line. Also, no one mentions that the buses stop running at 6pm until you find yourself stuck in a neighbourhood trying to find the bus. We booked the liberty cruise, had a reservation for 5:00pm. When we got there they had reserved at least 100 people too many and we were told we could not board the boat. They offered a second boat at 7pm, which would have meant that we stood in line in the heat for 2 hours with no access to restrooms or drinks. We chose not to wait around. When I messaged customer service to ask for that portion of my ticket refunded they told me that they "Pride themselves in exceptional customer service but do not offer refunds" Additionally we had thought that our passes included bike rentals, but the fine print told us that it was just 1 hour free with purchase (our mistake). The bike rental place was 2 blocks from central park, horribly confusing and the tiniest place. Save your money and rent the bikes right from the nice people at central park. I can't say it enough ... DO NOT BOOK with this company! They should be ashamed of how they run their business.
