Greg is from the neighborhood, and is proud of his heritage- and it shows on his tour. My wife and I were the only two on the tour, so it made it for a more personal experience which was nice. It was also good that it was only two of us, as some of the venues we visited were tiny- which is not a bad thing at all. The first place we visited was a small- family owned butcher shop for a taste of prosciutto. Three of us inside made it crowded. But, that's part of the experience- to visit the family-owned small businesses that still exist in the neighborhood.
Everywhere we stopped, the tastes were small, but appropriate. We found it odd that we didn't get the 'grandma slice' that is in the description, but we did stop at another venue that was not listed. After the tour was finished, we did get a slice in the neighborhood. This didn't diminish our experience, I would just suggest you clarify what you're getting if you're really wanting a slice.
Overall, we had a good time. Greg is very informative, personable and knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Hi,
As you experienced, I combine my passion for food, family and history on GREG WALKS NYC TOURS. The little and intimate tiny tour spaces on the tour make this neighborhood all the more special. The smaller tours always lend to a more intimate experience.
Thank you for the wonderful review. Glad you were able to walk with me.
HAPPY SPRING!
Greg
