St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

The tour was good! Greg made sure we were enjoying ourselves and the treats provided. The history was a nice touch and wish there was a lot more of it. I think some of the key places were closed being a Sunday — but Greg found us some pretty tasty alternatives. The best part about the tour was meeting the other couple and hanging out with them over a few glasses of wine at the end.

An excellent tour. Gregg was very friendly and knowledgeable and we got on with him really well. Unfortunately another party we were with had to cut their tour short because a member of their party fell ill, but Gregg was really professional and courteous about it and ensured they were in safe hands before carrying on with the tour. We learnt a lot about the area and we especially loved learning about the growth of the area, the Italian influence and of course, Joes Pizza!
