This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg Marro was outstanding! We’ve been on other food tours but The food on this tour was the best we’ve ever had! Greg’s family is Italian and have been a part of Greenwich Village for generations so he brings history alive on his tour with family memories and fascinating historical details. We would go with Greg again. Highly recommended!

Greg was a great tour guide who took us through the hidden Italian gems, including both many snacks and a couple of insanely beautiful churches. The history of the neighborhood was intertwined with his own family’s history. Would recommend for locals (we are) and tourists alike.
