This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. Your food tour guide gives you an insider's perspective into local history with music, serenades and family tales. Samples and sights subject to change.

What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

We loved meeting Greg and learning so much about the history of the area. He really loves living here and has so much family history that makes the tour feel even more personal. Come hungry, you will be filled with love and carbs (which just might be the same thing). We are so glad this was our first stop for our weekend in the city.

Awesome tour. Kept our bellies full. His knowledge of Greenwich Village is great. Showed us all the local spots for tasty Italian food. My favorite was the meatballs at Raffetto’s.
