This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. Your food tour guide gives you an insider's perspective into local history with music, serenades and family tales. Samples and sights subject to change.

What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Had a great time with Greg! So fun and personable - very knowledgeable as well and loved the personal touch to his stories and history! The best bonus is all the delicious food of course!! Would definitely do another tour with Greg!!

This tour was a highlight of our trip. We took our two teenagers who loved it as well. We loved a few of the places so much we went back the next day to try them again. Greg was full of great story's from the neighborhoods colorful past.

The Tour was excellent, very informative and very tasty. I learned a lot about the Greenwich Village, my favorite was the rice balls and my daughter loved the focaccia.
