This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Amazing host, took us into previously unexplored areas of the West Village. Introduced us to great local and family owned businesses that have withstood the march of gentrification. Super engaging guide with great stories and great ability to shift with the opening and closing of different businesses to give us an incredibly memorable experience. My 15 yr old rated it the best thing we did in NYC on our holiday.

Greg is an amazing tour guide! Inclusive, friendly, knowledgable, and he isn’t afraid to admit when he doesn’t know something. He will even find out whatever he doesn’t know in front of you, if you would like. It was easy to see that he loves his home and community through every interaction my partner and I had the joy of seeing. Greenwich with Greg as our guide was a journey and a half, and my partner and I loved every minute of it. If you’re looking for a man obsessed with Tour Porn, Greg is your man. Be sure to mention it is your first time in NYC if it is!
