Old Town Key West Literary Walking Tour

Overview
Join us every weekend for the Old Town Literary Walking Tour, a stroll through downtown Key West, illuminating stories of writers that have called our island home. Inspired by David A. Kaufelt’s original literary walking tour, our new tour features the former homes and favorite haunts of writers, including Tennessee Williams, Shel Silverstein, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Frost, and highlights tales of our lesser-known local talent.

Highly recommend for anyone with an interest in the literary background of Key West. Knowledgable guide and pleasant walk. Gets beyond the Hemingway mystique.

We really enjoyed our tour with Scott. We've been to Key West several times and was great to learn a lot of things we never knew about the notable literary figures who have called Key West home. Scott is a resident of Key West so he provided a lot of insight for us.

Highly recommend this walking tour. Everyone knows about Hemingway’s Key West connection, but who knew so many writers spent (and continue to spend) copious amounts of time on the island? Our guide was funny, wry, knowledgeable, and guided us through a variety of interesting locales you’d never know were places of literary significance. I loved it and want to go back and explore these places and writers in depth now!
