This outfit gets an A++. Everything was terrific. It started with a friendly welcome and short introduction and wait at some picnic tables while all passengers arrived. (This May not be on everyoneā€™s radar but even the outhouse facilities were super clean!). The outfit is on Smugglers cove so while we waited we were able to watch some small planes taking off and landing at the airstrip right next door - super cool ! The boat was plenty big and smooth on the water. Our captain, Benson, gave us a great safety presentation made with humor and confidence. Our naturalists Chaz and Anna were so knowledgeable and informative. Very personable, making sure both the upper and lower decks were covered. They told us about the islands we were passing, both historically and geologically.( Anna was a state park ranger and lived in the area all her life and Chaz was an environmental science educator specializing in geology.) both were great with the kids as well! the boats of the different outfitters in the area keep in touch with each other and when orcas are sighted everyone knows where to head to see them. Boy did we see whales! It was the most amazing experience! We felt like we were on a Discovery Channel expedition. Whales cresting, spouting, breaching! We spent plenty of time following them! Beautiful animals! We saw seals and porpoise too. Highly recommended!

Wow, what an amazing trip. This will be one we will always remember. Capt. Lyndsey and Natalia were great! Both clearly enjoy their work, and communicate well with customers. The day we went out was one of the best days they've seen. We saw many orcas. They were hunting porpoise and were super active. We saw them fully out of the water multiple times. We saw spy hops. We even got extra time because they were putting on such a show.

This outfit took over Eclipse charters which was A-1 terrific. Well, this new outfit needs some fine-tuning. Sure we saw lots of Orcas that day but here are some things to make their tour better: We rallied at Smuggler's Cove at the north end of the island and got bused to Orcas ferry at the south end, eating up 1/2 hour of time - thank goodness the driver was an informative naturalist. Apparently the boat can't use the Cove during low tide. -Well then how about everybody meet at the ferry landing during low tide? There was no public address system on board, so half the time you couldn't hear the captain or the naturalist unless you were standing right next to them - informative narration is mandatory when watching whales. Overall an average experience.
