We made reservations via phone calls months earlier to go on the ā€œnon-ferryā€ tour, out of Anacortes. The morning of our trip, we found out that the representative with whom weā€™d made the reservations put us on the ā€œferryā€ tour, out of Orcas Island. An honest mistake, and they were able to get us on a later tour that day. But the extra time and expenses that we incurred - NOT the company - and the lack of concern from upper management, made this trip more of a disappointment than a thrill.

We have a tour from Orcas Island. It does take a ferry to get there. We also have a tour from Anacortes. It does NOT require a ferry. Certainly for anyone not staying on the island Anacortes is far more convenient. If you make a reservation over the phone or online we email you a confirmation that tells you the location you have selected. If you try to change the reservation on the date of the trip we are happy to do this when it is possible but often times our tours are full and this is not possible. Sorry for any miscommunication on our end. Please check your confirmation and make travel arrangements accordingly. Also remember if you are coming to Orcas Island make a ferry reservation. It will make your experience much better! Thanks for coming to see us.

We had great weather and skillful guide services for finding orcas. The boats are not too large, so everyone can see from their seat. Parkas are provided for the stiff winds in the channels. The naturalist was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions about orcas, other wildlife, and the history of the region. Recommended!

Great time seeing the whales with naturalist Chaz & Captain Steve. We were out on the water for about 4 hours and saw many whales, both resident and transient. Chaz was especially knowledgable about whales' habitat, communication and eating habits.
