Really enjoyed our 4 hour whale watching tour with Captain Joe and naturalist Demi. The boat was smooth, fast, and clean. Demi was very knowledgeable about the local geology and wildlife. We saw sea stars, eagles, peregrine falcon chicks, porpoises, seals, and, as promised, whales. We got to follow J Pod of Orcas along the coast of San Juan Island. Great trip!!!

Joe was our captain on the whale watching tour out of orcas island and Ashley was the naturalist on the trip. Joe was fantastic and stopped along the way to see everything from seals to bald eagles to mountain goats on our way out to see the whales. Joe took us to where 3 whales were and it was absolutely amazing. Ashley, the naturalist was so knowledgable about any animal you asked her about. Overall, such wonderful experience and we will definitely be back. Side note: make sure you bring warm clothes because it gets cold on the vessel!

I have spent time in the San Juans for over 50 years. I have gone whale watching and seen them in local waters. I had a guest from CA so we boarded easily on Orcas Island to experience being on the water and seeing wild life. We did! The crew knew exactly where we needed to go to see orcas. Our boat held about 20 people and was confortable inside and out. We moved fast to get to the whales and the most thrilling thing for me was to see a 2 month old calf following its mother very closely. A new experience for me. Guides were knowledgeable and I learned things I did not know. Worth it for sure. There are big windows inside this newish boat and they open if the weather is iffy.
