Out of Africa Wildlife Park Admission Ticket

Overview
Come see animals up close in large spacious habitats. Out of Africa Wildlife Park strives to educate and entertain, to provide an exciting and engaging opportunity to love and respect creation and creator. It is a place where family and friends gather to experience oneness with animals and each other during safaris, tours, walks, observations, and shows of wild-by-nature animals in their own, natural splendor. In this way, we hope to achieve a kind of oneness with them that will cause us to consider them to be so valuable that we cannot allow them to be lost forever. We continually provide spacious and natural living habitats for animals in need, so they can become ambassadors of their own kind. We have heeded the call of those without a voice, many of whom now border on extinction.

The park allows their animals many acres to roam while in captivity. The Tiger Splash allows the tigers to have fun in a pool without the usual trick of jumping threw a fire hoop. They seemed to have fun playing with the toys and jumping in the pool. Every employee that we encountered was super friendly and very helpful. Feeding the giraffes was a sloppy and different experience. Depending on how activities a person plans on doing in addition to touring the park will depend if you wish to spend a half day or longer there.

Great location between Phoenix and Sedona. We decided to do the VIP tour. As it turns out it was the right thing to do! It was January so the park was fairly empty. Our guide for the day, Adam, was incredibly knowledgeable! He seriously knew not only the biology/zoology of the animals, but he really loved them, and as amazing as it sounds had a relationship with them. We have never been to an attraction like this where the entire staff was so passionate and dedicated. The cool thing was that there was a back story to a lot of the animals which really brought it all to life. For example there was a lion cub that had some life threatening health issues where they almost lost her. He shared that the whole staff was devastated as the prognosis was not good that she would survive it. When we would pull up to an exhibit like the laughing hyenas they would come running and lean up against the fence...Adam would pet them and they were in heaven. For these 2 animal lovers it was our kind of place. Clearly their mission is not about a 'roadside attraction' to make money, it is all about the animals, many of which are rescues. Would totally recommend the park. And ask for Adam!!

This was a big highlight of my trip to Arizona. The park is huge and all the animals are given lots of space. Every single animal that I saw had a glossy coat and bright eyes - I think they are truly cared for. Their big "event" is the Tiger Splash. One of the tigers is let into this large fenced space with a big pool in the middle. The keepers (lots of them admittedly, presumably for safety) put on wet suits so that they can get (or be pulled by the tiger in one case) into the pool which, we are told is heated but to tiger recommended levels not human! The tiger was obviously not "trained" in any horrid way but seemed to enjoy chasing the keepers around and leaping on the swimming pool type toys the keepers waved at him. Just watching him move was an amazing experience and when he jumped to get at one toy - wow! He had to have been 6 feet in the air. I would not like to be chased around a swimming pool by a 350 lb tiger but there was obvious trust between him and the keepers. There is lots to see and do at the park and the keepers are really friendly and very well informed. A lot of the animals are rescues from defunct animal shows so they are doing really good work. I loved all of it.
