The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

I'm giving this a 4 because I didn't enjoy the trip up. If you feel any motion sickness, sit in the middle where the tram doesn't turn!

The park was beautiful to hike in, with exceptional views. Huge Red Pines among the rock. The Peak restaurant had wonderful food.

If you do one thing in Palm Springs, you need to ride the Aerial Tramway! My wife and I took this to the top and ate dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was ok, but the aerial tram was incredible. The only complaint I have is you have to pay for parking ($5/car) and then a ticket on the tram is pretty expensive ($24/person). The views are spectacular, and the ride up and down was a lot of fun. On the way down, it was dark and they played a couple of good oldies and the whole gondola was signing along to "My Girl". Great memory!
