I took a night tour with a family member and did not know what to expect, except that there was not the hop-on-hop-off aspect for the night tour. It started to rain so an enclosure was put on the top deck of the bus. I always knew that Philly was an under-appreciated jewel, being overshadowed by NYC, but I love and appreciate Philly all the more with the information I found out about this great city. Wait until you hear about all the “firsts” that happened right in the “City of Brotherly Love”, the history, the fabulous architecture, the contribution to culture and arts ( which I knew a little something about). I would strongly suggest for Philadelphians and those in neighboring states to visit Philly and take this tour or even the hop-on-hop off tours during the day. You won’t be disappointed.

I did this tour on my first day in Philadelphia and it was a great way to get an overview of the city and get your bearings It took you around all the main city centre sites and you could get on and off the bus as many times as you liked it even had a stop at the rocky steps for pics Guide was excellent made things fun and engaging A slight downside was weather was bad and city upstairs in an open top bus was not great but guide helped

We usually do these tours and expect cheesy and this one was a great overview, informative and entertaining. It was even the guide's first day on his own and until he thanked us at the end, I wouldn't have known. What was especially cool was that we didn't rent a car but by taking this tour we were able to see the further out areas of the city we might have missed otherwise. If you have never been to Philly (like us) and only have a limited number of hours (like us) this is a fabulous overview. Now we just need to plan a longer trip for next time.
