Overview

The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Fun experience with Mark! Great afternoon of cooking and learning the tricks on how to make a perfect Gumbo and Etouffee. The Banana Foster was a demo only due to an accident in the past few months, but still fun to watch and learn. Overall a great experience, a must do if you love to cook or would like to learn how to cook these dishes.

Chef Mark was fun and informative. We picked up some great kitchen tips in addition to the step by step instructions on how to cook a medium and dark roux. The gumbo we made in class was as good or better than what we had around New Orleans. Highly recommend this class! The only thing that could have been better: if all three of us had our own cooking station. (Three of us shared one.)
