Overview

The Mardi Gras School of Cooking does small, intimate hands-on classes in the French Quarter. Classes are more like a dinner party with friends. Feel welcomed into our kitchens by the Chefs themselves. From the moment you arrive until you roll out the door our Chefs are friendly, personable and entertaining. Not to mention their culinary skills are impeccable.

Our minimum class size is 2 people. A solo traveler may join an already scheduled class. Call us to hear about the available classes.

For parties of 8 or more, you will have to contact us directly to book. We have questions.

Chef Cam was a very knowledgeable, patient, and professional teacher. He offered efficient and unique methods to do many things, even small ones like cooking rice and chopping onions. Our experience was wonderful and we cannot ask for anything more. He gave a thorough explanation of making shrimp gumbo, etoufee, and banana foster, which were all delicious!!

Cam was so much fun and personable. The food was delicious, and we learned a thing or two about not only cooking technique but also Cajun/Creole culture. Highly recommend.

My sisters and I agreed that the cooking class was our favorite New Orleans experience! We had a great time, met wonderful people and ate delicious food. Mark was a fun instructor! We highly recommend the class!
