Along the way we may sample a beignet, brought to New Orleans in the 18th century by French colonists from "the old mother country" and also by Acadians.
Your local guide will then navigate you through the French Quarter, where you’ll experience the influence of Cajun and Creole cultures on New Orleans favorites like gumbo and sausages. We’ll uncover Louisiana origins and farming traditions, which also link our African American and Caribbean communities.
