What To Expect

Statue of Liberty

We get as close as you can legally get and stop to take pictures from the sailboat. No crowds with groups of six maximum.

Brooklyn Bridge

We motor under the Brooklyn Bridge.

One World Trade Center

We sail across the Hudson towards One World Trade Center.

Ellis Island

We sail by Ellis Island.

Governors Island

We sail by Governors Island

Ride was rly fun! I'll most likely do it again sometime. Boat captain was rly kind and helpful. TripAdvisor keeps asking me to add more details, pain ;)

Lovely sailing tour around the Hudson River in NYC, attentive and friendly captain which we had a short conversation with about running this tour and how the sailing works. The tour was slow and relaxing, with ample time for taking photos, especially where we stopped close to the Statue of Liberty to take photos. Just a side note - I thought bottled water would be included/provided as from the description but wasn't the case.

We do have bottled water available if you ask :) We also try to encourage passengers to use the recycled paper cups and jugs of water we provide to reduce waste.

My partner and I sailed with Andrew, and it was unbelievably nice. We travelled from Dallas, TX and Andrew was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing and competent. He explained to us how the sailing works and spoke about each stop during the sail. 100% recommend the Brooklyn Sail!
