San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The crew was attentive and enthusiastic. The marine biologist shared great information with the passengers. We were able to view sea lions, multiple pods of dolphins and 2 Humpback whales. I would highly recommend them and will use them again the next time we are back.

This was a great trip! The crew was fantastic and the naturalist was exceptionally versed in marine knowledge. First, if you are from out of state, you may not always see whales or dolphins. It’s a big ocean. I warned my husband that we may not see anything, but it’s fun going on the boat. Well, we got super lucky. We saw a small pod of dolphins and tracked a humpback whale for about an hour. I really loved seeing the crew as excited about the sightings as us. For those worried about safety, here’s what I can tell you: They sanitized are least three times during a 3 hour trip and everyone was required to wear mask. We will do this trip again. Just go expecting not to see anything, and hopefully, you will be pleasantly surprised.

We enjoyed the narrator as she explained things very well and kept us alert on when sea life in the area. We never seen any whales but did some a lot of dolphins. They kept circling the boat around so everyone could see them from all sides of the boat. Overall it was a good time and would definitely recommend this.
