Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

This was our second time going on a whale watching tour with San Diego Whale Watch. Our first time was 2 years ago and we saw a blue whale (soooo amazing!!). Unfortunately this trip we didn’t see any whales, but we did see lots of dolphin. We were also very impressed with how well they handled things to keep us safe during this time of Covid: face masks, spacing groups apart, limiting people inside, etc. It was great to be able to take this trip right now and still feel very safe. We highly recommend them and plan to go out again next time we are in San Diego!

Worth every penny! The crew was friendly the guide was very knowledgeable. We saw dolphins and blue fin whales. Much more than I expected. I would do it again!

Nice cruise only saw Dolphins and abandoned boat.. no whales.. hopefully we will see some next time. Since we received 50% discount on our next trip
