San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Went with a group of co-workers while we were in for a conference. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. It was amazing to be so close to the whales and watch them play and swim. Even though I got sea sick, it was still amazing. On the way out we saw a group of sleeping sea lions.

We didn't see many whales, but it was early in the season (early January). The crew had informative narrations when we were not actively watching the whales. It is obvious that the crew was well educated in marine biology, not just tourist gab. I was happy that I did not get sea sick this time, as I usually do! It was covenient to have free street parking and a restaurant near the launch, too.

Well, it wasn't high seas, but there were great encounters with the creatures of the sea. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared so much information on everything that we saw. Highly recommend this whale watching crew. Great time was had by all.
