San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

My family and I had an excellent time. We got to see sea lions, the Gray Whales that are migrating and Dolphins. I got great photos on the trip. The crew was great and to boat too. A nice four hours.

My husband is enthusiastic about ALL kinds of animal. So this activity was planned for him originally. But I was suprised whenever I watched whale's movement. You might be joyable whatever you expected. Please check next 2 things before leaving for whale watching experience. 1. Wear layered clothes as much as you can, and keep a extra blanket. 2. Bring your binoculars and camera.

This whale watching tour was breathtakingly amazing. Make sure you buy ahead of time as it was packed and sold out. We were lucky to find this on a groupon. Also, arrive early to get to pick the best seat on the boat so you don't have to be where you don't want to be the whole time or standing. The tour guides were amazing and told us so much history of Grey Whales at that time and we learned so much about them. Seeing them was unexplainable. It was almost too perfect and it was like a movie. Sea lions along the way were also so cute and amazing to see. I would 100% recommend you spend some money on this, and I was 100% go again. It is a long tour so make sure you bring cash to purchase drinks and food on board, or eat before! If you get sea sick or have a chance to, make sure you locate your self on the first floor of the boat and take a sea sick drug. Amazing time, thank you San Diego Whale Watch!
