Our first trip to the safari park was very enjoyable. We took the African safari trip and walked through many of the other exhibits. We also went up in the tethered hot air balloon. Very enjoyable day for six senior citizens!

We had amazing views of tigers and elephants. I witnessed a Siberian tiger playing with a femur bone up close. Baby elephants frolicking (can an animal so big frolick? Apparently so!) And for the most part the dread and anxiety I feel at zoos for how bored and frustrated the animals appare to be, was not what I thought about. I hope that the animals are engaged, and they seemed for the most part to be less anxious than I've seen at many other zoos. Plan to spend the whole day. Sign up for the Cheetah run and do the tram ride.

I can not put into words how truly incredible this place is. Not only do they provide a chance for a once in a lifetime encounter with beautiful, endangered animals; they are literally saving species from extinction. The staff is so knowledgeable and caring towards the tourists and their furry, feathered, ect. residents alike. We learned this place is the biggest breeding park to sustain endangered species on the planet. The new Australian walk around is incredible because you walk next wallabies and kangaroos with a shared path and no walls! (Kangas are very sleepy!) The park itself is stunning as is (be sure you watch the cheetah run) I know the park itself is expensive but, HIGHLY encourage you to spend the extra money on the Safari Ride. The price tag is quite steep ($135 in park) BUT I promise that will pale in comparison to what you will experience. The work they do here and the knowledge they bestow is incredible. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff take you in reaching distance to amazing, endangered animals and turn around and feeding sweet giraffes, you will never regret it!! The animals are treated SO well and you'll leave feeling like you spent 5k on an African Safari. I will never, EVER forget the safari ride we took. Rachal and Joe (our tour guides) were amazing If you can support them in any way I encourage you to do so💕
