We work with 25+ wineries so the route varies from day to day. We give you the full wine tasting experience by visiting a mixture of vineyards and small production tasting rooms.

Santa Ynez Valley

Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we drive into the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Learn about the history of the region, vineyards, geology and what makes the Santa Barbara wine region so unique. Enjoy tastings at 3 boutique, family owned and independently wineries.

Me, my wife and son - along with our driver and the company owner, Ian - enjoyed an absolutely delightful day tasting wines, tasting olive oil, tasting foods right from the surroundings, learning about the geography and geology of the area, viewing historic sights (does Neverland Ranch count, because that was pointed out!), having a delicious picnic lunch, and being entertained by our engaging, knowledgable, friendly host. Rooted Vine offers more than the usual wine tour (whether on a wine only tour or one of their combinations of tours - beer and wine, hot air ballooning and wine and who knows what else Ian has conceived. Bottom line - we had a great time, on the drive, in the tasting rooms, meeting Ian's friends in wineries along the way. We loved it.

As a Brit who knew nothing about US let alone Santa Barbara wines this was a real eye opener.The guide,Iaon is very knowledgeable and personable.All the wineries we visited had an excellent range of wines and there is the opportunity to visit one which appeared on Sideways.By the end of the tour Iaon will have transformed your knowledge of Santa Barbara wine.Highly recommended.
