We stop here to talk about Johnny Mercer and the Midnight movie soundtrack.

Wright Square

We talk about the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and its characters.

Chippewa Square

A brief presentation about the movie Forrest Gump.

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

Talk briefly about the Cathedral's history and relationship with St. Patrick's Day.

Hamilton-Turner House

Talk about Joe Odom, Nancy Hillis/Mandy.

Mercer Williams House Museum

We stand in front of the Mercer Williams House Museum and discuss its history to present-day, its role in the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and the trials of Jim Williams. We do not go inside the museum.

Armstrong House

We stand in front of the Armstrong House and discuss its history and its role in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It is now a private home, we do not enter it.

Forsyth Park

Our tour ends here with a discussion on how the author wrote the book.

The tour was such a great time. Martin is just delightful to listen to and his information about the city and the book is unbelievable. I think it is a must do when visiting Savannah!

I thoroughly enjoyed this walk. Our tour guide was knowledgeable not only of "The Book" and "The Movie", but Savannah history in general. It was a perfect way to spend a spring day, wandering through Savannah at a nice pace. I'd definitely recommend.

Our guide, Martin, is very entertaining and a great story teller. Even though it was a very very hot day, he made the time to fast. I would go on more tours with him. If you love the book, this is a great tour to find out things you may not know about the characters.
