Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview
Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

Watching my wife and daughter ride together was a wonderful experience. My wife hasn't been on a horse for 30 years, so this adventure was well worth it.

We enjoyed our ride. It was nice to enjoy the outdoors and the animals also. The most important thing we got a chance to be together and have fun during a hard time in this world. My daughter was scared at first but she was very happy and loved it.

My husband and I like to ride horses in different locations we visit, so we were excited to do this in what Tripadvisor called Sedona. However, it is a good 30 minutes away from Sedona and there are no beautiful red rock mountains to see while riding. Additionally, the horses just plod along on a narrow trail, following very closely to the horse in front. It felt like a childā€™s ride at a county fair where you are led along. We are doubtful if our guide spoke English, but if he did, we would not have known it because he did not speak at all except to point out one zebra far away in the distance. We had to ask him at one point if we could take pictures... Otherwise he would not have stopped for this. Younger children or beginning riders would enjoy this experience, as well as the animals at the ranch. However, we found it to be pretty boring plodding along through the barren desert in silence. The only enjoyment came from chatting with the other couple on our tour.
