Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

My husband and I booked the hour and a half ride and our guide was Jacob. What a joy this young man was! He was quite knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we saw on the trails and was only 13 years old! His father, the owner of the business should be proud of the young man he’s raising. Our horses Sunny and Honey were very steady and Jacob got some great photos of us riding. The views were amazing and his puppy accompanied us the whole ride. Thank you for a great time and keep up the great work Jacob!

To start of, this was my first solo vacation ever so I was really nervous about everything going to plan. However, I ended up have the time of my life! I cannot recommend visiting Wild Western Horseback Adventures enough. I booked this ride through A Day in the West Jeep Tours and (due to fortunate circumstances) I was grouped with a visiting sorority group. They were so much fun to ride around with. The owners (family owned/operated if I remember correctly) and staff were great and really took care that we all were safe but also had a wonderful time! My horse, Dusty, was my spirit animal: going at his own pace and seemingly preferring the back of the line. I couldn't ask for a better time for my first ever horseback riding experience!

I was very nervous to ride and had a bad experience about 13 years ago. I decided to stay back and let the others go. Spoke with Ruby and she gave me comfort and asked if I wanted to try riding the horse around the ranch. I went and gave the horse some love and he made me feel better. So I got back on and I'm so glad I did. The others had a great ride with John, and I had conquered my fear 😊 thanks again Ruby.
