Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

The guides were very kind and informative on horseback riding. My wife and I hand little to no experience but we felt comfortable throughout our tour riding. Sunny and Rusty are amazing horses!!!

My boyfriend and I were in the Sedona area this past weekend. We were just talking about horseback riding and I decided to surprise him with a 1.5 hour ride with Wild Western Horseback Adventures—it turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip! I have a bit of experience with riding and my boyfriend had none. Our wrangler did an amazing job of picking horses for us based on our level of experience, and she explained everything we needed to know. The ride took us over a beautiful piece of land up on a hill, overlooking the mountains and valleys around Cottonwood and Sedona. While you can’t necessarily see the famous red rocks of Sedona from there, the panoramic views are equally as amazing. I highly recommend the evening time slot (ours was 5:30pm), as the lighting is perfect and it is a bit cooler. Overall, this was an amazing experience. An outstanding family run business, who do their best to make your experience the best that it can be!

In this day and age when we need to keep a safe distance from others, trail riding is an excellent way to socialize, yet practice distancing. The boys at Wild Western Horseback Adventures were knowledgeable, friendly, and provided a wonderful trail riding experience. We kept our social distancing due to the horses, we enjoyed the beautiful day, experienced an amazing ride on wonderful gentle horses and amazing views. Highly recommend these fellows, especially during these trying uncertain times.
