I enjoyed the content of the stargazing tour with Rick and Ryan. Unfortunately, there were some safety issues and organizational issues that prevented me from calling it a successful event. They need to do a much better job of welcoming us and explaining that rather than being picked up by a bus, as was indicated when we made the online reservation, we would be walking out into a dark field. They can rectify both of these issues, the explaining at the beginning and equipping each of us with a flashlight so we can see where we are going. Also, during the presentation it became apparent that the assistant had not brought all the telescopic equipment. This hampered the senior astronomer from delivering all of the presentation he had planned.

Just had this experience last night and already recommended it multiple times. Some of us really haven’t seen stars at night in a long time, especially not like this. Christopher and Ryan were fun, informative, and very accommodating. Even if you don’t know anything about astronomy, go! You will see some awesome things!
