We drove 1/2 hour to the 9 pm meeting point in pitch black darkness through a very rural area. (very spooky though perfect for star gazing). No one from the company showed, so I checked my messages to see that 1-1/2 hrs before the experience was cancelled "due to weather". The skies were black, no rain, and while on vacation, I'm not checking emails every five minutes so it's a miracle I even looked at my emails. We drove back to our resort where they offer free star gazing through a large telescope. We saw Saturn and other planets and constellations. Puzzled about the weather cancellation. It was beautiful and warm. I think this company was unreliable and I was deeply disappointed. I had booked it two months prior and one of the activities I most anticipated in Sedona.

We ask our customers to read their confirmation email. In that email, we clearly state āwe will send you a text message, email or phone call on the day of your tour to confirm the status. In the event that you provided incorrect email or phone number and we are unable to reach you, the customer is required to call to confirm the tour before 5 pm.ā
In your case, you did not reply to a text, email or phone calls we sent, all before 5 pm, notifying you of a cancellation due to weather.
It doesnāt seem like too much to ask to call us before you head out. Especially because we value the limited time you have on your vacation and we want to give you an opportunity to schedule another activity in the event of cancellation.
Our drive is paved the entire way and is only 15 minutes from Uptown Sedona. It is an easy drive that hundreds of thousands of guests have made over the last 15 years without incident. .
It is not common for clouds to cover in the Oak Creek area and for clear skies in the hotel zone but it does happen.
The tours at the hotels are free and you get what you pay for. Many times customers are waiting in line at the hotels with 30 other guests. In that case you would wait over an hour to look at 3 objects.
Our experience is personal, interactive and with only maximum of 6 guests per telescope.
