Bought reserve tickets. Entry very smooth. Great elevator ride to magnificent view. Pick unclouded day. iPads were not worth it but couldn't get reserved tix without. Fantastic views. Worth doing.

Had planned to do this one day but the weather put pay to that as you could not see the top of the Observatory for the clouds so we went back and did it the next day in glorious sunshine. We had the GO City Explorer Pass which allowed us a general admission ticket which had a return time of 90 minutes. I asked if I could upgrade as one of the tickets was showing immediate entry and that cost an extra $33 for two adults. Well worth it to stop my sister from moaning. Haha! The lift was rapid and I loved the 'show' they played on the walls of the lift. The lift was not over full as it had been at other observation decks. The way they reveal the view is amazing! It was quite busy but there is plenty of room to walk around so it did not feel over crowded. The views are amazing and being that bit further downtown compared to the other observation decks you do get a different view of Manhattan. It was a beautiful clear day and you could see so far. It was stunning!

If you are in this area, this is a Must visit place!!! You will have an excellent experience of once in a lifetime view of the New York City . Make sure to visit this place on a clear day!!! You will get a like IPad device that will explain exactly what you see from every location of the observatory. Great place to visit for adults and kids.
