This was a great tour! From the helicopter staff at Alpine air to the dog mushers and handlers on the Glacier, everyone was helpful and polite! On the Glacier we were given the choice of riding in a dog-sled, or actually driving our own! The scenery was AWSOME! We got play with baby sled dogs, and we got to talk to an actual Iditarod musher! I recommend this to all ages!

The advertisement and documentation I received was very misleading. All the ads and photos show someone sitting on the dogsled. Even their website says "Stand on the runners and help drive the sled, or sit back and take in the views." I was not given the option to sit back and enjoy the ride. Actually, I fell off as I do not have the grip strength to hold on to the sled. I took this adventure expecting to ride a dogsled with someone else driving. The group was given a 2 minute "training" on how to drive and off we went. The helicopter ride, the staff, and the dogs were wonderful, however being thrown off guard on the actual experience makes this a 3 instead of a 4 for me.

Thank you so much for your review. We are so sorry you did not enjoy your experience. Your feedback is very helpful and will improve how we communicate the various options available for this tour. The mushers do indeed provide the option to be seated on the sled, and we've had many guests participate comfortably seated on the sled this summer, and in the 10+ years we've offered the tour. This is an activity for all ages, and we've welcomed visitors aged 12-months to 82-years old this summer. The majority of our visitors are up for a more active experience but the mushers know to always offer a seated ride for those who appear to be too young or too old for a self-driven tour. It does not sound like you were given the option to request a seated ride as your preference, and you can be sure we will take more time to check in with each guest about how they would like to participate. It should never be our place to assume that a guest wants a standing, self-driven ride, so we will do a better job of making sure each guest gets the opportunity to voice their preference clearly. Thank you again for your review and helping us create a better guest experience. Kindest Regards, Christina
