This was an amazing experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and meeting the dogs was a real treat also as they were so sweet and loved attention. I traveled with a friend who has a minor physical disability that made it impossible for her to ride the sled by herself, so they accommodated her and she was able to enjoy the experience. It was incredible and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I cannot comment on the tour because it didn't occur despite many attempts to rebook. Sadly this tour was canceled multiple times with either no notice or very short notice (20 minutes while enroute) despite checking the night before, which also seemed to be the experience of many guests we met. I understand that weather is difficult and obviously you cannot fly when it is unsafe. However, the disappointing part was that there was no notice despite checking beforehand, and then we made several attempts to reschedule after being told on arrival that they had to cancel but the other times and dates were so overbooked which made it incredibly difficult. If you are canceled, you are given no priority to get on a tour at a different time or date. They did fully refund our tickets quickly. If you do decide to book, have lots of different dates that are possible and a low expectation of actually going. I would recommend doing the Girwood Mushing Tour instead - the dogs are amazing, the sled ride fantastic and they have great customer service, and all for a fraction of the cost.

Thank you so much for your feedback and flexibility. We are so glad you enjoyed our recommendation of the mushing tour as a plan B. You have our team's most heartfelt regrets for the inconvenience of this weather cancellation. We monitor weather closely, but in this particular instance we were unable to predict the sudden changes to the cloud layer we had on your date of tour. Ensuring your safety is always our top priority, and in the event of a weather issue, we are almost always able to reschedule our guests to another tour time seamlessly. I'm so sorry we could not fit you into another tour during your remaining stay in Girdwood. I assure you this is not a common occurrence, and we hope you can visit us again someday to experience one of our tours. With gratitude, Christina and the team at Alpine Air Alaska
